You Can Overcome the Darkness

There are many types of darkness in the world today. Just as a child is scared of the monsters under his bed or in the closet, he cries for his father to get rid of them. As we grow, sometimes other things seem to be more important than going to church and hearing the Word of God. My friend, that is when the darkness of the Devil will get a hold on you, but (1Jn 1:5) “This is the message which we have heard from him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” When you are living for the Devil, you’re dead on the inside for anything to do with a Godly life. God doesn’t want any person to go to Hell, but when you don’t accept him, you make your own outcome. In Colossians 1:13, He tells you that He “…hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.” So, we can “overcome Hell” and be a child of God by asking the Lord to save us by His grace. (Jn 16:33) “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
