Prayer

I love going to revival. These meetings are for the saved more than the unsaved, but it is good for all, amen. Get saved, people. Get your heart right with God and be a witness for our Lord. Tell the world there is only one way to God, and that is through Jesus who said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”

In Acts 4:12, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

There is only one way to find rest for your weary soul – accept the invitation of Jesus who said, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” (Matt. 11:28, 29)

Don’t let anyone or anything stop you: not your friend, employer, brother, sister, wife, husband, or your stupid pride. All these things can be used by Satan. Satan doesn’t want you to get saved. He has a group, a club that he wants you to join, so that you will be picked up and thrown – cast into the pit, the depths of hell and burn forever-eternity. I tell you people, get saved. Maybe you are saved, but need to settle some things with God. Maybe there are some things going on in your life that you need to confess and take before God. Pray - ask God to forgive you. Maybe it is pride. Maybe you are backslidden. It could be something so horrible, so shameful that you don’t want anybody to know – not a friend, brother, sister, wife, not even your pastor or preacher. Christians, let’s have revival. Let’s incorporate God into our lives and everyday living. Let’s dedicate our time to serving God. Let pride go and let God work in your life. It is written, “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” (Prov. 16:18) “God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.” (James 4:6)

Brother and sister, let us come down off our pedestals of pride. Let us be willing to humble ourselves, come down on our faces before God, and pray: confess our sins and ask God to forgive us. Tell God all and He will fix whatever is going on inside according to His will.

Prayer makes the darkest clouds withdraw. Rain makes rainbows. Prayer climbs ladders and gives exercise to faith and love. Every blessing comes from God. Satan trembles when he sees the weakest saint on his knees. If there is to be power in the pulpit, there must be praying in the pews. Powerful pulpits and praying pews make perfect partners. “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (II Chron. 7:14) We must go God’s way. Throw away your stardom ship, showmanship, and entertaining sermons. Do you want to be great in the people the people’s eyes or God’s? People, we do not need sermons that will cause us to stand up and applaud. We need sermons that will cause us to kneel down and weep. Getting on your knees in prayer will do a lot more for a sin-sick world than theology. The only theology that the thief on the cross had was a one-sentence prayer: “…remember me when thou comest into they kingdom. And Jesus answered unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.” (Luke 23:42, 43)

People, gird up, stand up, and get going. Love God – believe God. Have faith in God; faith pleases God, so let’s trust our Lord and Saviour. Get saved people and Christians, get revived. We need revival in this fallen world!

God loves each and every one of us. This is why Jesus trained and instructed his disciples to “teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” (Matt. 28:19)

Brother and sister, may the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ Bless each and every one of you in your time of need. See you at the next revival, I pray! Amen.

                   Your brother in Christ,
