3. a) It always remains true that the
poor in spirit, rather than the proud, are blessed…
b) humble; contrite; abased in
one’s own sight by a sense of guilt.
4. a)…and those who mourn because of
their sins…
b) To express grief or sorrowful.
5. a)…and who are meek in the
consciousness of them…
b) Mild of temper, soft, gentle, not easily provoked.
6. a)…will hunger and thirst after
righteousness and hungering will be filled.
c) You should be thirsty & hungry for the Word of God
like you would food & water.
7. a) The merciful are “blessed”…
b) Compassionate, tender, unwilling to give pain, not cruel.
8. a)…the pure in heart do “see God”.
b) Without a pure heart, you won’t see God, free from
anything improper.
9. b) One who makes peace by reconciling
parties that are at variance.
10. c) Don’t be afraid of being persecuted
for righteousness, for you will have the

Don’t get down & sad, for great will your reward be,
