How Beautiful Heaven Must Be
II Corinthians 5:1-9
I Corinthians 2:10
“But God hath
revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth
all things, yea, the deep things of God.”
I. Heaven is
a reality John 14:1-6
Heaven is more real than anything we come in contact
with because Heaven is eternal and these things are temporal. Temporal = pertaining to this life or
this world body only…(Noah Webster’s 1828). Measured
or limited by time, or by this life or state of things; having limited
existence, espoused to eternal.
II. Heaven
has a ruler. Hebrews 11:10
“For he looked for a
city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.” God wants to
have his way on earth, but man has refused to let God have his perfect way;
but, we know he is the builder and maker of Heaven and shall be the object of
out praise.
III. Heaven
has a requirement. John 3:7
“Marvel not that I
said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” Before
Jesus Christ could come into our world, he had to be born into it. Before we
can go into his world, we must be born into it.
IV. Heaven
has a roll. Revelation 20:12-15
God is keeping a record of our attitudes here on earth. Malachi 3:16, 17.
V. Heaven
has a robe. Revelation 19:7, 8
God wants His church, which is the bride of His Son, to be pure,
spotless, and arrayed in the robe of righteousness, which far exceeds that of
the scribes and Pharisees.
VI. Heaven
has a reservation. I Peter 1:3, 4
You don’t have to worry about anybody taking your place in
heaven, for God has it reserved.
VII. Heaven
has a reward. I Corinthians 3:1-14
Nothing that you do for Jesus will go unrewarded if it is
done in love and loyalty (I Corinthians
13). If we keep our head in heaven, we can have a stabilized walk on earth.
